Welcome to my website. Here you will find information on my research, teaching and publications, as well as media work. You can contact me about my research at j.holland@leeds.ac.uk. I’m also on Twitter at @DrJackHolland.

I work as Associate Professor in International Security at the University of Leeds, where I am Academic Group Leader for the International Relations and founding Director of the Centre for Global Security Challenges.
Prior to that, I worked at the University of Surrey, and studied at the Universities of Cambridge, Birmingham, Warwick and Queensland. I also spent several months in Washington DC, based at the Library of Congress as a British Research Council Fellow. My research has been funded by the ESRC, AHRC, Leverhulme Trust, and EU. I’m currently researching and writing about Trump, Obama, Syria, TV, and a range of other international security issues.
You can download many of my articles on the publications page.Previously, I’ve been lucky enough to co-author with some excellent friends and colleagues, including Jason Ralph, Michelle Bentley, Lee Jarvis, Katharine Wright, Matt McDonald, Sir Mike Aaronson, Kalina Zhekova, Rob Saunders, and Ty Solomon… Check out their work!
Outside of work, my hobbies include running, Arsenal, and craft beer. In 2019, I ran for parliament (in a safe constituency).
